The Secret (Shhhh!)
The secret is placing and keeping a micro-thin cushion of air under the load to then move it almost effortlessly. In more scientific terms, our technology fights gravity AND friction simultaneously so that you don’t have to. With Airsled, a heavy load can be moved by a force equal to just 1% of its weight. To put this in perspective and practical terms, OSHA recommends that a person should not exert more than 225 Newtons or 50 lbs. of force when pushing an object using only their full body strength from a free-standing start. Therefore, using an Airsled product under optimal conditions, an individual will be able to safely move 5,000 lbs (1% of 5,000 lbs = 50 lbs) and be completely within OSHA guidelines for exerting push force.
